Stephane Aviron - Morgon Côte du Py 2021

Nicolas Potel and Stéphane Aviron , long-time partners, have been combining their expertise to create wines in Beaujolais since the 2000s . Stéphane, with his family heritage, masters the Beaujolais vintages , while Nicolas excels in winemaking and aging .

Their recent collaboration with Languedoc winegrowers allows them to produce vintages in Vin de France, combining accessibility and quality, thanks to the favorable climatic conditions and their Burgundian know-how.

🍇 Grape variety: Gamay

👁️ Color : Deep red , with purple highlights, indicating a beautiful concentration.

👃🏻 Nose : Intense and spicy nose, mixing aromas of black fruits (blackberry, black cherry) with touches of damp earth , pepper and smoke .

👄 Palate : On the palate, this Morgon is structured and powerful , with firm tannins and well-integrated acidity . Black fruits combine with notes of liquorice , cocoa and minerality , offering a long and complex finish .

🍽️ Food and wine pairings : Perfect with beef bourguignon , grilled lamb chops , or mature cheeses like Saint-Nectaire.

🕐 Aging potential : Can be kept in the cellar for 8 to 10 years , gaining in complexity.
