Founded in 1850 , Domaine Macle is located in the heart of Château-Chalon , on some of the steepest terroirs in the appellation. Jean Macle , taking over the reins in the 1960s with one and a half hectares of vines, was able to extend this wine-growing gem to 12 hectares , including 4 dedicated to the prestigious Château-Chalon.

Since 2003, his son Laurent Macle has perpetuated the tradition with passion and rigor. The vines are cultivated with respect for the environment , without insecticides, anti-rot or systemic products. The wines, witnesses of this ancestral know-how, are aged in oak barrels after fermentation in vats, offering incomparable complexity and depth.
