Description
Created in 2005 by Nicolas Potel, Domaine de Bellene is based on plots of vines 50 to 110 years old , located in various communes of the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. Working according to strict organic principles , without oenological additives, the estate seeks to reveal the terroir of each climate, thus producing wines of remarkable purity and finesse .
In 2008, Maison Roche de Bellene was born, extending the influence of the estate with a network of winegrowers and an in-depth knowledge of the terroir. Thanks to this expertise, Maison Roche de Bellene offers a selection of prestigious wines.
🍇 Grape variety: Chardonnay
👁️ Color : Deep garnet red , with ruby highlights, announcing great aging potential.
👃🏻 Nose : Complex and elegant nose, revealing aromas of black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), notes of undergrowth and damp earth , with a subtle touch of vanilla and spices .
👄 Palate : On the palate, this 1er Cru is ample and structured , with supple tannins and a well-balanced acidity . The flavors of black fruits are supported by notes of cocoa , cedar wood and licorice , offering a long and refined finish .
🍽️ Food and wine pairings : Perfect with duck breast , roast pigeon , or simmered dishes like beef bourguignon . Also goes well with mature cheeses like Comté.
🕐 Aging potential : Will improve over 10 to 15 years , developing more complex aromas.
