Description
Wonderfully located in the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise, the Domaine de Chamilly extends over 16 hectares spread over the communes of Moroges, Buxy, Givry and Mercurey. They cultivate the typical Burgundian grape varieties: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Aligoté and Gamay.
In full organic conversion , the estate is committed to respecting the soils and preserving biodiversity in its plots. The wines of Domaine de Chamilly are fine and gourmet, with little marked profiles by aging ( 10 months, few new barrels ).
🍇 Grape variety: Chardonnay
👁️ Dress : pale yellow with golden highlights, clear and bright, suggesting a beautiful freshness and elegance.
👃🏻 Nose : delicate and charming, with aromas of white-fleshed fruits (apple, pear) accompanied by notes of citrus fruits and white flowers . A subtle touch of honey and hazelnut enriches the bouquet.
👄 Mouth : balanced and delicious , with a creamy texture supported by a lovely fresh acidity . The white fruit flavors blend with light notes of wood and minerality , offering a long and elegant finish .
🍽️ Agreements : fish in sauce , seafood , or poultry in cream . It also goes very well with mild cheeses such as Brie or Chaource.
