Founded at the beginning of the 20th century by Jules Lafon , the Domaine des Comtes Lafon has become a legend of the Côte de Beaune . Since 1984 , Dominique Lafon, at the head of the estate, has constantly improved the quality of the wines, bringing freshness and a slight reduction.
Committed to organic farming since 1998 and supplemented by biodynamic practices, the estate produces wines of pure intensity, wonderfully expressing the most beautiful terroirs of the Côte d'Or.
🍇 Grape variety: Chardonnay
👁️ Color : Golden yellow color with bright reflections, vibrant and announcing a beautiful richness.
👃🏻 Nose : Complex and elegant nose, revealing aromas of white-fleshed fruits (peach, pear) complemented by notes of white flowers , minerality and a subtle touch of fresh butter and toast .
👄 Palate : On the palate, this Meursault is ample and velvety , with a well-integrated acidity that balances the ripe fruit flavors. The texture is creamy , offering a long and refined finish, marked by a pleasant complexity .
🍽️ Food and wine pairings : Ideal with seafood , fish in sauce or roast chicken . It also goes very well with mature cheeses such as Comté or Brie de Meaux.
🕐 Aging potential : Enjoy now, but can be kept for 5 to 10 years , developing even more finesse and complexity over time.
