Founded in 1980 by Bernard Burgaud , the estate has transformed abandoned land into thriving vineyards. With a clear vision and unwavering dedication, Bernard has replanted fallow plots , bringing an exceptional terroir back to life.
In 2020 , his son Pierre Burgaud , heir to this passion and know-how, took over the reins of the estate. With him, working the vineyard is a meticulous and demanding art. He pays particular attention to choosing the date of the harvest, which lasts two to three weeks to harvest each bunch at perfect maturity . In order to avoid dry tannins, all their bunches are destemmed before starting aging in oak barrels , of which around 20% are new, for 15 months .
The estate is distinguished by its authentic and consistent approach. They do not produce any special vintages or parcel selections. Each bottle is a harmonious blend of the estate's different lieux-dits, such as Le Chapim, Les Mutonnes and Côte Blonde. This method guarantees a pure and sincere expression of their terroir.
